SPRING TERM 2008
Choir Social: Friday 14 March at the Clay Oven, Oakbrook Road
18 March, 1 April and 8 April: Rehearsals with Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra at Victoria Hall, Norfolk Street and NOT at Banner Cross.
25 March: no rehearsal
12 April: Mozart's Requiem with Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra, at St John's Church, Ranmoor (rehearsal 2 p.m., performance 7.30 p.m)
SUMMER TERM 2008
15 April: Rehearsals resume at Banner Corss Methodist Church
5 July: Summer Concert: St Andrews Psalter Lane
AUTUMN TERM 2008
2 September: Rehearsals resume after summer break
13 December: Christmas concert at Holy Trinity Church Wentworth, 7.30 p.m
15 December: Christmas concert at Ecclesall Parish Church, 7.30 p.m. N.B. this concert is on a MONDAY
20 December: Carol singing in Orchard Square, 11 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
Information for members
A committee is elected each year to plan future concerts and generally ensure that the choir is running smoothly. It normally meets about six times a year.
More formal information about our governance structure is given in our constitution, which is issued to all members and will soon be available to donwload from the website.
A useful information sheet covering issues ranging from coffee breaks to subscriptions and concert dress is issued to new members and may also be downloaded from the website.
